Tanzanian Prime Minister, Hon, Kassim Majaliwa is expected to grace the second national economic empowerment symposium to citizens on June 10, 2017 in Dodoma which will attract together the public and private sector to discuss issues on empowerment to fuel the country’s economic drive on industrialization to champion by the President Dr John Magufuli.

National Economic Empowerment Council (NEEC), Executive Director, Ms Beng’I Issa said that during the press conference in Dar es Salaam, that symposium will pave the way for the important stakeholders private and public sector to discuss on the better way to foster the industrialization drive that will uplift ordinary people from poverty.
  
“The national symposium is focusing on how to get opinions from stakeholders from that sectors so that it will helpful for them during the implementation process that seek to rescue and empowering people from extreme poverty by assisting financial  and economical,” the one day  symposium with the motto “empowering Tanzanians to participate in the industrial economy,” she added Ms Issa

She said the second symposium have various goals including receiving reports on the implementations and coordination on the empowerment process and policy to ordinary people in the national level while the Premier is expected also to attend the discussion.

Other goals are to recognize other ministries, department, institute, local government and districts across the country that have achieved their targets in the areas of empowering people in their respective areas, while the workshop will fuel the implementation and strategic planning will be deploy in order to expand their service to ordinary people across the country.

The symposium will be use also as platform for other people to learn from one another on the basis of empowerment mode as a path way for others to follow the foot step and among other thing the Premier will also launch the annual empowerment report which comes from the assessment of empowerment implementation report.

Ms Beng’I explained further that the report is implementing by various stakeholders and they will hand over awards for those who did better as a stepping stone to foster the government agenda on the empowerment policy to ordinary people.

She added that the council has invited more than 300 stakeholders from private and public sector and other development partners, NGOs, Research Institutes and Universities to attend the workshop.
Ms Issa noted that they signed an agreement with Tanzania Standard Newspaper (TSN) in the process of promoting and educating process to the public about the pros and cons on the empowerment policy and implementation plans to the public.

On his part, the Managing Editor of TSN, Dr Jim Yonazi said that the government newspapers is ready to work shoulder to shoulder with council to achieve the government targets and goals in ensuring ordinary people are economic empowered while the fifth phase government reached its target on green industrial revolution.

“We have re-organized to ensure that will walk on the government/Presidents talks to meet the industrial economy country’s by informing and educating people about the existing opportunities that the government is providing,” Dr Yonazi added.

The symposium is taking place every year under the council and it comes from the coordination of the empowering ordinary people from the Ministry, department, local government authorities, districts and the private sector, while it was officially launched February 9, last year by the Premier.

The directives has always fueling the coordination and implementation of the national policy on the empowering ordinary people economical in the private sector by creating a council of empowering people and coordinators in the ministries,  26 regions and all 185  municipalities across the country.
