Dear Alumni/Friends of the University of Dar es Salaam,
On behalf of the
University of Dar es Salaam Convocation, I am honoured to invite you to the 7th
Convocation Symposium that will take place on 22nd January 2016 in
Nkrumah Hall at the University of Dar es Salaam, from 01.30 pm to 06.00 pm. The
theme for the symposium is “Reflections
on Post-2015 Tanzania Elections: Pitfalls, Lessons and the Way Forward”
with three sub-themes namely: “Leadership
Challenge and the Constitution”; “Funding, Political Corruption, Sectarianism
and Ethnicity in Politics”; and “The
Role of the Civil Society and the Media”.
The Symposium will
bring together over 700 participants including University alumni, academicians,
public officials, researchers, politicians, private sector, diplomats, civil
society, media, observers of the 2015 Tanzania General Elections and the
general public. We will reflect on the post-2015 elections for the best
interests of our nation and its future elections.
It is my belief that
you would wish to use this platform to share views, concerns and vision with
the Tanzanian people on this most important subject.
It is my earnest hope that you will accept
