KTH - CSC Programme
Thanks to an agreement between KTH and the China Scholarship Council
(CSC), a number of scholarships can be offered to Chinese citizens
applying to KTH. The scholarships available are aimed for PhD students
(50), postdocs (30) and visiting scholars (5).
General Academic Entry Requirements
Equivalent to a Swedish Master's degree when you start your PhD studies at KTH (Master's degree or at least two years of study in combined “Master+PhD” programs at recognized Chinese universities)English proficiency for PhD applicants:
IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall (no subscore below 5.5) or TOEFL (iBT) 90 (written, minimum 20)
Application Procedures
For all applicants for KTH-CSC PhD studies (including guest doctoral study applicants, 包括“联合培养博士生”): please note that the invitation letter must be signed by the Vice Dean of Faculty at KTH, but not by an individual KTH supervisor. CSC scholarship holders for PhD studies without an official invitation letter signed by the Vice Dean of Faculty are not guaranteed to start their studies at KTH on the expected date.The positions available are described in the following document:
Applications to other projects may be considered on a case-by-case basis. The official invitation signed by the Vice Dean of Faculty at KTH will be sent in late December to qulified candidates for postdoc or visiting scholar positions, and in early March to qulified candidates for PhD positions.
In order to apply for a KTH-CSC PhD, guest doctoral study, postdoc or visiting scholar position

- Collect the required documents according to the checklist in the application form.
- Send the complete application documents to the address stated at the bottom of the application form.
For postdoc or visiting sholar positions: Dec. 1st, 2015
For PhD positions (including guest doctoral study positions): Dec. 31st, 2015
Please note: application deadline changed comparing to previous years
You can only send one application to KTH for each application period. Multiple applications (e.g. to multiple KTH supervisors) are NOT accepted.
