ICT Officer POSITION DESCRIPTION:

DTB is looking for capable and qualified individuals to fill the following positions:


ICT Officer (Head Office - DSM)

Reporting to Head -ICT, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the bank's Network and Infrastructure Systems are available and make sure that this is achieved and supported securely, efficiently and consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist to Administer, maintain, monitor and support the bank's Network. pes and Servers.
Assist on the administration, maintenance, monitoring and support of the bank's PCs, Printers and Microsoft Office Applications.
Requests for quotations, prepares memos and procures bank's Infrastructure especially Servers, PCs, Printers; Networks, etc.

Liaises with various1T Infrastructure vendors to ensure that the banks systems are working effectively.
Acts as a team leader in specific IT projects.
Ensures documentation on all Network and Server Systems is maintained & updated at regular intervals.
Systems are reviewed, created in absence of any, maintained & updated at regular intervals.
To assists in administering, maintaining. monitoring and supporting the environmental software supporting the bank's business applications - All Operating Systems for PC's and server.
To assist in administering. monitoring and supporting the environmental infrastructure - Air Conditioning, Access Control System, Data Centre cleanliness, etc.
Application support on other Business Systems e.g. fUBS, BIP, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking Cash management, etc.

Educational Qualifications
Diploma I Degree in Computer Science/Studies
Experience & Competencies Required
At least 1year working experience in IT Infrastructure Support.
Familiarity with service delivery culture and support function
Has a strong service ethic.
Strong evaluation, communication and reporting skills
Ability to balance Long term and short term requirements independently
Good at managing large volumes of information and can add value through management reporting.
Independent and logical thinker, yet an achiever and implementer.
Cross selling of other banking products including credit, forex services and asset products.

Educational Qualifications
University graduate preferably in Business/Management.

Experience & Competencies Required
5 years minimum experience in sales/marketing position in a commercial bank. .
Strong evaluation, communication .presentation and reporting skills
Able to provide advice and cause/effect evaluation to support business decision making.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
