CLIENT SERVICE

JOB DESCRIPTION

Be able to determine client needs and see that they are fulfilled. Is responsible for supervising all operational aspects of the account and should keep the Account/Client Service Director well informed at all times. He/She is responsible for formulation of major agency recommendations.

PERSONAL SKILLS

Be adept at solving all manner of problems requiring initiative and intelligence, more importantly making the effort to think ahead in order to anticipate problems before they arise.

Considerable drive and determination is required for this often arduous job, but these qualities must be balanced with sufficient sensitivity to enable you the right attitude that will help you get the best from others.

PROFFESIONAL SKILLS

  • Supervising day-to-day management – must exercise complete control over the daily operation of accounts and be ready whenever necessary to carry out the functions of the Account Executive should circumstances require
  • Knowing the Client’s Business – Must develop and maintain a deep and current understanding of the market in which client operates.
  • Contributing Ideas – Should continuously examine and analyze the client’s current marketing position and seek to identify new marketing approaches and opportunities.
  • Strategic Thinking – Responsible for initiating all forward strategic plans and creative briefs and submitting them to the Account director/Client Service Director for approval.
v  Should be able to present and write effectively.
  • Working with the Creative Department – Must endeavor to help the creative department produce outstanding work, by working closely with the appropriate creative team in development of the creative strategy, and contributing constructive criticism and ideas during the development of the execution.
v  Responsible for creative briefing.
v  Responsible for managing creative output
v  Proactive in helping creative to best achieve efficiency
  • Working with the Media Department – Should help the Media Department produce outstanding media planning, buying, by working closely with the appropriate Media Persons in the development of the media plan.
v  Responsible for media briefings
v  Responsible for ensuring all copy is with MEDIA in good time
v  Proactive in giving media team and client ideas to best execute creative
Budget Control
v  Is responsible in controlling all costs and monitoring events which could in anyway influence the agency’s ability to keep effective control of its budgets.
v  Checking production estimates for accuracy, presenting them and securing client approval before work begins.
v  Responsible for ensuring estimates are raised, Job cards opened, LPO received and billing is done all in good time.
Working with other arms (PR/Activations, Digital)
v  Ensure all arms work in harmony to deliver in good time
v  Ensure all arms are in synchrony with each other




MANAGEMENT SKILLS

Training – Should continuously seek to improve the performance and increase the capabilities of Account Executives working on your accounts. Should also be able to give in-house training whenever required

Leadership – Should work towards inspiring the best effort from all departments and work as a team.
