The ideal Resident Engineer will have previous experience of working in Sub-Saharan Africa, and have developed their career within road construction.
The main responsibilities of the successful Resident Engineer will be:
* Full site supervision; including the construction work progress and staff performance.
* Inspection of pre-commissioning works, monitoring quality levels for the commissioning stage.
* Liaising with Head Office to ensure that the project is delivered on time and on budget.
* Maintaining Employee relations throughout the company.
* Work closely with other departments, finding ways to improve the overall operational effectiveness of the project.
Personal Requirements:
* A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
* A minimum of 15 years in Infrastructure Construction.
* Knowledge of FIDIC Contracts is an advantage.
* Experience in Project Management or Site Supervision is a must.
* Fluency in English is essential.
