Double Tree by Hilton Resort in Zanzibar announced their partnership with Sober
House, a grass roots organization in Zanzibar that supports the recovery
of drug addicts and conducts community awareness and prevention.
Double Tree by Hilton has partnered with Sober House with the aim to educate the
children of Zanzibar on drug awareness and prevention.
The
Sober House volunteers (many former drug addicts) will visit schools
every month for the next two years and facilitate a workshop that allows
the children to learn about the facts and ask questions in a safe,
supported space.
Each
child will receive a booklet that features a comic written by the Sober
House residence as well as factual information that was approved
earlier this year during a workshop hosted by DoubleTree with the
Ministry of Education, The Drug Commission of Zanzibar and
representatives from The Ministry of Health.
Director

Founder Members, Suleiman Mauly and Fatma Juma should be applauded for
their dedication and efforts.
