Position Description:
The Tanzania Posts Corporation (TPC) is a national designated public
postal operator established by Act of Parliament No. 19' of 1993 and
became operational on 1st January, 1994. The Corporation is wholly owned
by the Government ofthe United Republic of Tanzania. The principal
function of the Corporation is to provide universal postal and allied
services within and between places outside the United Republic of
Tanzania.
The Corporation is looking for a suitably qualified Tanzania citizen of
high personal integrity to fill the position of Manager Corporate
Finance & Accounts.
Reporting Relationship:
The successful candidate will be stationed at the Corporation's
Headquarters in Dar-es-Salaam and will report directly to the General
Manager/Corporate Resources Management.
The Manager Corporate Finance & Accounts will manage and supervise
the following Section: Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and
Centralized Cash Management System
Objectives:
To coordinate the maintenance of corporate books of accounts and
preparations of corporate periodic and annual financial reports as well
as costing and budgeting system.
To maintain in liaison with other departments smooth finance/cash
management and ensure that the Finance & Accounts Department exploit
and optimize the new technologies in search for lower costs and greater
efficiency.

Major Activities of the Job
The Program Officer is a self-motivated individual who will provide
oversight and technical assistance to districts to enable them to
provide quality integrated RCH/PMTCT and Care and Treatment services.
The incumbent has responsibility for the implementation and monitoring
of the program activities. He/ She reports to the Regional Program
Coordinator who provides leadership and technical support. This position
requires travel to the field in the regions and or outside the region
when necessary.
Major Responsibilities and Tasks
Co-ordination of district support to provide Integrated HIV/AIOS Services
Work closely with sub-grantees to coordinate program planning,
implementation and monitoring of integrated RCH/PMTCT activities, early
infant diagnosis, TB/HIV collaborative activities and Care and Treatment
services.
Liaise with laboratory and SCM EGPAF teams to support supply chain
management services that ensures availability of HIV commodities at all
levels within the districts

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Master's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public

related field.
5 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in
providing management advisory services, hands-on experience in design,
monitoring and evaluation of development projects and establishing
inter-relationships among international organization and national
governments.
Demonstrated knowledge in key disciplines of democratic governance, such

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the overall guidance of the UNFPA Deputy Representative and the
direct supervision of the UNFPA Assistant Representative the Programme
Specialist will provide policy and technical leadership for UNFPA's
response to national Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and HIV
priorities,
The Programme Specialist will specifically carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
Represent UNFPA in national efforts to develop, monitor and implement
policies, plans, and strategies for the management and prevention of HI
VIA IDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STls)
Advocate and provide technical guidance for a multi-sectoral approach to
HIV/AIDS, including incorporation and prioritization of HIV/AIDS
prevention strategies in national and sectoral development frameworks
and plans and ensuring linkages to broader SRH concerns.
Represent UNFPA and the UN System, and provide technical input and
feedback in national and sector dialogue, and in development partners
for a including the Development Partners Group on HIV/AIDS, UNDAP PWG
for HIV &AIDS and UNDAP PWG for Health and Nutrition. Assist in the
review and evaluation of SRH and HIV/AIDS-related national development
frameworks, plans and strategies.
