The Old Trafford-based club reportedly were unable to seal the deal because of problems regarding a work permit, leaving him open to linking up with Heerenveen in the Eredivisie.However now it appears as though Liverpool have thrown their hat into the ring for the talented youngster and could pip their rivals in the race for his signature.
