Evening hands-on course in electronics
at the Physics Department, University of Dar es Salaam
Objectives: To enable the participants to design
and fabricate electronic gadgets.
To enable participants to organize and run their own workshops in
electronics.
Minimum Qualifications:
Form four (IV) with
interest in Applied electronics.
Mode of delivery: Hands-on, practical, self tailored
in modular form.
Module 1: Basic electronics (for all
participants) 1 week.
Module 2: Domestics and entertainment
(inverters, chargers, power supplies, TV/Video, public address, HiFi systems) 4
weeks (Fee Tshs 200,000.00)
Module 3: Basic Industrial and
instrumentation, power control, and switching devices; 4 weeks (Fee Tshs
200,000.00)
Module 4: PC installation procedures, repair
and maintenance; 4 weeks (Fee Tshs 300,000.00)
Module 5: Service of office equipment (photocopy,
printers and scanners); 4 weeks (Fee Tshs 400,000.00)

Duration: Five (5) weeks, Two (2) hours each
working day (1400-1600) starting from 1st August 2014
Awards: Certificate of Completion of the
course.
