FOOD Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN) has been hailed by its great initiatives in harmonising food security, private sector participatory in the agricultural development strategies which will foster social and economic development in the region. It has been established.

Speaking to invited dignitaries during the official opening of Annual FANRPAN High Level Regional Food Security Policy Dialogue Programme overview on Monday in Dar es Salaam, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Cooperatives Mohammed Muya has congratures the international non govermental organization for its efforts in promoting effective food, agriculture and natural resources policies.

He said that the regional non govermental organization will build capacity to African farmers to enable them to cope with the changing enviroment such as the climate change that heat various super power around the globe.

Muya said that the goverment of Tanzania will continue to collaborate with the all stakeholders in the agriculture sector in Africa as the best way to achieve the fight against hunger, food security and the distortion of natural resources through climate change.

He further noted that the workshop overview will enables participants to review the food system, availability of food and agricultural producivity in African continent.

Muya aded that the non state actors should have a role to play to ensure that African farmers are getting access of market to their crops to speed up their growth in the global and regional market.

On her part Magreth Ndaba focal person of Comprehensive African Agriculture Development Program (CAADP) said that Tanzania has achieve its ultimate goal in engaging private sector in the agricultural development strategies across the country.

She explained further that the goverment of Tanzania has started to adapt the CAADP strategies since the Maputo convention and the goverment has address effectively the pros and cons of the agricultural development plans countrywide.

Ndaba noted that the goverment is continue to invest in agriculture sector and in the process the country’s have invited all the stakeholders including the development partners.
