Tanzanians
must be cautious when purchasing renewable energy products due to
presence of mushrooming substandard solar panels, batteries and other
energy products from abroad.
Robert
Hiza, Marketing Coordinator from Chloride Exide leaders of

Tanzania and other renewable products said due to growing of energy
sector and high demand of energy products, locals must be careful of
fake products illegally imported from abroad.

climate for energy sector at the moment demand is very high and
Tanzanians now understand a lot about solar power therefore the growth
is very high”, he said adding,
“Since we stand on product quality and quality services still there are a lot of imported products from abroad that do not qualify for good quality products”, he said.
He
said citing example that most of substandard product importers do not
provide warranties or guarantees for their products something that end
up with losses for their customers.
