Vodacom introduces Bonga
Tariff; reduces calls to other networks by 50%
Customers to
call for only Tsh1.5 across all networks in Tanzania – all day, every day
From today, Mobile phone subscribers now have a reason to
keep calling more. This follows Vodacom
Tanzania’s unprecedented move to reduce
calls to other networks by 50%. Bonga Tariff will apply to calls to all
networks and will be accessible to prepaid
and Vodajaza customers only.
Speaking at the launch of the new tariff, Vodacom Tanzania
Managing Director said with Bonga
there is no need for customers to change their SIM Cards or carry multiple
handsets. For the first time in Tanzania,
Vodacom’s Bonga virtually allows a
customer to call any network at his/her convenience from Vodacom thus saving on
money and time which could be devoted to other things.
Meza went on to say that there was no cost for subscribing
to Bonga and that all a customer needed to do was to dial *149*01# to enjoy the reduced calling rate. Bonga tariff will also allow customers
to continue enjoying other bundles such as Cheka.Mobile
communication is a necessity in today’s world and we at Vodacom are committed
to ensuring that individuals have easy and convenient access to their
colleagues and loved ones. Bonga will therefore allow many more Tanzanians to
stay connected wherever it is that they are,” said Meza.
