KAMPALA – The KIU Titans are chasing after the 2012 FUBA men’s championship. The Miracle Eagles just want to justify their presence in the playoffs.

That should lead to a fiercely contested best-of-three quarterfinal playoff series between the two teams, who meet for game 1 today at Lugogo.
KIU’s clash with Miracle is the peak of today’s action, which includes two women’s matches, four games in the men’s division 2 and another four in the men’s third division.
KIU coach Nimrod Kaboha is pleased with the quality of his team and has gone on record about their title credentials.
“We are not in the playoffs to pass time, we want to compete for the title,” Kaboha asserted.
Miracle lost both their regular-season encounters with the Titans but the Eagles were very competitive in the second meeting, which ended 56-48 in KIU’s favour.
Veteran Eagle Chris Kyebambe has warned against writing off Miracle’s chances, saying the evidence has pointed to a progressively improving team.
“People can write us off but as we have shown all season, we keep on getting better with time,” Kyebambe.
“We are going to surprise people.”
