The Kagera Regional Commissioner, Mr Fabian Massawe, has strongly warned supervisors and invigilators overseeing the on-going National Form Four examinations, to ensure that there is no leakage of exam papers.
He said stern measures will be taken against irresponsible supervisors including prosecuting them in court, adding that those found guilty could be jailed up to 12 years.Mr Massawe also urged students to be calm during the exams and answer what they were taught during their four years in school.He noted that students with clean records will certainly become responsible future leaders.Meanwhile, Mr Massawe challenged residents in the region to increase production of both cash and food crops.He said the region had climate suitable for irrigation farming and many opportunities to make people rich.
“People should avoid spending time playing pool and drinking local brew (Orubisi). Instead, they should engage in productive work through irrigation, livestock and bee keeping. The region has abundant opportunities,” he said.
