In an interview with the Express,
the centre’s assistant programme coordinator for children, Adil
Lumaliza, said that the sports event was made possible through pupils’
creativity to raise funds, after been empowered and facilitated by the
centre.
“This
is one of the programmes run by DMI. We understand that children love
sports; the aim is to unify them and develop their sports talents. They
also refresh their mind when playing and improve their health” he said.
He
said that the centre believed in sports as a key component towards
children growth and development, that’s why it supported them by
unearthing their potentialities through sports tournaments.
Children
sports are part of DMI programmes, where children are empowered in
terms of knowledge and skills to be able to raise their own funds which
they use in different projects, including promoting sports.
