Group Business Development ManagerThe Group Business Development Manager, Africa, will be working for an established Integrated Risk Solution Group who has a pressing requirement for a Business Development Manager who can lead on and be personally involved in their pursuit of projects in the Mining, Oil & Gas and Infrastructure Development sectors. Candidates need not be masters of all 3 sectors but would need to demonstrate detailed knowledge in at least one.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Increase exposure to tenders, RFQs and RFPs
-Conversion of proposals to contracts greater than 10%
-Timely, accurate and clear reports and dashboards to specified timetable
-Timely and accurate monthly reporting
-Clear papers for management and board meetings
-Clear comprehensive budget
-Timely, accurate and high quality delivery of contracts/projects to agreed timetable
-ISO 9000 Contracts and review
-Building customer relationships
-Budgeting procedures
-Develop a BD Culture within the business
-Move the business into the Mining, Oil and Gas or Infrastructure Development Sector
-Create and maintain brand visibility
-Build up a list of relationships and identified targets
-Convert identified targets to realisable sales
-Manage the BDM process in each country operation
-Build up a network of sales agents
-Management of all employees responsible for BDM
-The Group Business Development Manager will be a part of the companies plan to their areas of operation further and over the next 12-18 months we will be exploring acquisition opportunities.
-To provide strategic information to board and management.
EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE
-Five years post qualification experience in a senior BDM role
-Management experience

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The BDM would have considerable autonomy in a burgeoning organisation with very short reporting chains. The position would entail considerable travel to regions of Africa, which are culturally diverse, rugged and of extraordinary natural beauty. The client deal in post conflict areas and the position would best suit a well-connected and experienced BDM with the ability to work with minimal supervision and with a natural desire to take on and overcome wide ranging responsibilities.
CLIENT INFORMATION
The client is currently operating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan and Tanzania but have the capability to project quality security solutions anywhere in the world.
