Vodacom in collaboration with the supplier of
nutritional and health products, GNLD Tanzania, have signed a deal that seeks
to help clients for the latter pay for their requirements via M-Pesa.
The move will enable consumers of nutritionals,
weight loss, herbals, skin and personal as well as home care products to pay
GNLD Tanzania through their mobile phones.
According to Vodacom Tanzania Corporate
Communications manager, Rukia Mtingwa, the move also helps GNLD clients to keep
their money safe.

“This service that is safe…with this partnership,
one will not need to spend valuable time visiting a bank to make a deposit for
the purchase of a certain product. All they need to do is make use of M-Pesa to
make the payments,” she says.
On his part, GNLD Tanzania country manager Daniel
Mutiso said: “This partnership shall go a long way in helping everyone in this
country.”
To pay for a GNLD product through M-Pesa, what
customers need is to simply go to the M-Pesa menu and select payments, after
which they shall dial 1 and enter the business number, which is 000221.
They will then enter the Account Number followed by
the amount, then PIN.
Finally, they will be required to Confirm in order
for the transaction to be complete.
